The practice operates a Nurse led Minor clinic for the problems listed below.

Scope of clinic

The clinic is suitable for any of the following conditions:

The following conditions are suitable for this clinic:

°    Coughs and colds

°    Flu or other viral infections

°    Throat infections

°    Sinus infections

°    Oral infections or ulcers

°    Diarrhoea  and tummy bugs

°    Eye infections

°    Chickenpox

The pharmacist may be able to advise you on self-management of these conditions

°    Ear infections

°    Chest infections

°    Asthma

°    Cystitis or urinary infections

°    Skin infections or small abscesses

°    Vaginal discharge without pain

°    Minor cuts and graises

°    Rashes

°    Sprains and strains

°    Minor injuries

°    Back pain

These conditions must

be less than a week old

to use this clinic

 

The following conditions or people are NOT suitable for this clinic:

°    Pregnant women (Pregnancy related Problems).

°    Infants under 9 months old

°    Headache unless due to a head cold

°    Emotional problems

°    Abdominal pain

°    Chest pain

°    Unexplained breathlessness

°    Patients known to have exacerbation of COPD

°    Ongoing skin conditions (acne, eczema, moles or ulcers)

°    Dental problems – please see a dentist

The practice will not issue NHS certificates for periods of less than 7 days

Please do not make an appointment purely to obtain a repeat prescription

Please note that priority may be given to an unwell child or another patient suffer from an acute medical episode. 

For more Complex medical Problems the Practice also offers a number of GP on the day appointments.
